OOTD: Command Christmas Party

Ideeli is a website where most of the items and trips are discounted. Amazing prices. I got my dress at this site. It was originally $110 but I got it on sale on this site for $39. Crazy right? I do most of my shopping here. click here for the link to get invited to ideeli. They just don't got clothes and make up but they also sell hotel stays and household goods. An all in one website I must say for shopping. Plus discounts? Who wouldn't love that. Here is my OOTD and the hair-do I wore for the Command Christmas Party. Christmas Party in January? Yeh, til this day I don't understand why our command always hosts Christmas Parties on January. lol

This is a one-sleeve dress, pleated and in gold color. Dress is from Ideeli. I wore my nude colored heels from steve madden and some black tights.

Accessories were just this necklace I got from Forever 21 and my G-shock watch. I didn't put too much in to the accessories last night. I was more of in a rush yesterday.

My make-up was done with the naked pallette from Urban Decay. A gold lid with brown countoring on the creases and a winged look style with the eyeliner. I used MAC's blacktrack gel liner. For the top and waterline. Also I used a highlight for my brow bone and Revlon's lipstick for the lips in the color Peach Me. For the cheeks I used MAC's blush in Cubic Satin. That's pretty much it plus a silly face. Two thumbs up.

My hair-do was a nice and elegant twisted up-do with a bun to the side. Pretty simple I must say. Been debating if I should do a video tutorial on this or not. I has some loose ends in the front that I curled and had my side-swept bangs but pinned.

366 day project

366 day project? No, it is not a school project. Here I will post a photo every day of this year. I hope that I won't lose interest in completing this mission. Here we go.....

Happy New Years! Oh how time goes by so fast! It's 2012, there will be a lot of things going on this year. From my reenlistment to my permanent change of station in Bahrain. 

It's hard to decide what kind of hairstyle to do for events. Here's one of the choices I showcased. Is it casual looking? or event-looking?

Ughhh..I love math and all but trigonometry is getting on my nerves. How I wish cosine's, tangent's, and blazeh blazeh blah were made simple.

Yes, these came in the mail and I was wanting to return them because I honestly hate walking in heels. But I could not lie these heels look beastly. LOL

I reenlisted today. Yay! eeeh. Does this mean another 3 years til I can get out? Ughh, y did i do this to myself. LOL. Anyways, I got this approved just yesterday for me to reenlist and it was a success. 

This was after the command Christmas party. We won a dinner for two on a cruise boat in Tahoe and also a fishing pole with a box to carry fishing needs and a 50 dollar gift card. Yay for us :)

How long has it been? Since I've wrote a post? it's been a pretty long while. Now that it's the start of 2012, I don't know why but I feel motivated in being more active with my blog. I want to get more into beauty-related subjects since I have seen my drastic improvements on styling and what-not due to watching youtube videos from my favorite make-up/style gurus :) Yes I am an avid fan of a lot of beauty guru's. To name a few there's DulceCandy87, Michelle Phan, AndreasChoice, From Head to Toe...my list goes on! Anyways, I'll post also about some of the recent events that went on like Christmas and New Years and my reenlistment. Yes you heard this right. I am reenlisting for another 3 years in the Navy. I don't know why, but I have a feeling that I will make this an actual career for me. I want to follow my instinct. My next stop is Bahrain so yeah we'll see how this goes.

Christmas was the best especially when me and my fiance's family got to do some bonding time. I had so much fun talking to mami Adela and giving her a make-over that she haven't had in a while. I remember how happy she was with the hair-do I did on her and she said that that was the hair-do she wanted on her wedding day. And to me that meant so much. I'm glad we had that girl to girl bonding. It opened up a path to the most unforgettable vacation ever. I felt at home and that God has blessed me with some awesome company.

This here is my fiance, yes, my little superman :) oh, he is so creepy-looking? lol I kidd..anyways, I tweaked up these photos and kind of joked around with them. My fiance is the best. Simply put. He is the reason how I found God. Before I didn't pray and I didn't care too much of the bible and in all honesty, I had little to no belief that we had a loving God. There's a lot of pain in this world I thought to myself before, so how can there be a God. Through him, I realized that most of human society, look at the negative, focus more on the negative..instead of looking at the positive sides of situations and in all reality should be thankful for those little BLESSINGS that God has put in our lives. A lot of a little is many. All these little blessings all lead to many blessings and leading to infinite blessings. I'm so thankful God put Alex in my life. I guess you might say he is my guardian angel. He guided me when I thought times were rough. Forever I am grateful. I love God and I love my Alex but most of all I love God. Indeed, Alexander Rocha is my Superman :)

soooo me and Alex decided to spend the weekend with adventure and of course some shopping. There were a little mishaps though. He had duty on Saturday from 1930 to 0130 so our time was limited on Saturday and then Sunday he had duty from 1200 to like 1500. But this weekend was successful either way. :)

April 30, 2011...
The plan - wake up 0600 get ready. Drive to Tahoe and take the Carson City way. Do some hiking in Tahoe. Ride the Gondalla. Hopefully if we have enough time go for some horseback riding. Then go home around 1600-ish in time for my baby's duty.

What really happened - Alarm rang for 0600 and i hit the dismiss button on my alarm. Making me miss the snooze and having me wake up at 0700. Had to wake Alex up to get ready. We left base around 0900 and went to Wal-mart to get some little munch-ons since we didn't get any breakfast. We then planned to eat at Ihop when we got to Tahoe. Then we went to gas up my car and around 0930 we were on our way to Tahoe...around 1130 we arrived to beautiful South Lake Tahoe...Alex got his camera out to take pictures but oh noooo...low bat :( but good thing we got his phone because my phone can't take good pictures at all. I first wanted to show Alex the beach that i remember seeing the most beautiful sunset ever...at Zephyr Cove beach...BRRRRR...when we stepped out of my car it was coooooold...not really what i expected. Me and Alex walked the beach for a little while and felt the cold water. I wanted to lay on the beach but yeah Alex was right it was pretty cold. So in we went into my car and off to Ihop. There we we had some AWESOME breakfast. I got the Belgium Waffle Combo while mi amor got Chocolate Chip Pancakes. After that we decided not to go hiking because it was so cold..so we decided to go ride the Gondolla but that was closed. So we decided to just do some sight seeing and some shopping. We left around 1400-ish. Like i said we had fun either way :) Let me show you some pics from our whole trip :)
